Additional instructions in case of SARS-CoV-2 infection in student dormitories
Dear residents of ŠDL,
from 8 October 2020 onwards, due to the large number of infections in Slovenia, the NIJZ is still treating all persons with a confirmed infection, but until cancellation, it will no longer look for contacts of confirmed cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection in student dormitories, therefore, we urge all residents to:
- as soon as they become aware of their possible infection, inform their contacts in the last two days before the onset of symptoms that they have been in contact with a SARS-CoV-2 positive person.
- a SARS-CoV-2 positive person is consistently following Instructions for people, who have been exposed to a new coronavirus.
The decision on isolation is made by a personal or treating physician (on-duty clinic) depending on the health condition of the infected person. According to the protocol, the physician also decides where to send the infected person to isolation.
In the case of ordered isolation outside the capacities of the Ministry of Health, the person must act in accordance with the instructions for the implementation of isolation of persons, who do not need hospital care, or with Instructions for persons with confirmed infection in home isolation.
