Coronavirus and the ŠDL, 8 November 2021

The government has adopted new measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.

Dear Residents,

The government has adopted additional measures to contain the spread of COVID-19, that they believe, together with experts, would have a rapid impact on curbing the epidemic. On 5 November 2021, the Ordinance on temporary measures for the prevention and control of infections with the COVID-19 disease (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 174/2021 of 6 November 2021, hereinafter: the Ordinance) was adopted in this respect.

RVT CONDITION AND SELF-TESTING

The Ordinance maintains in force the fulfilment of the RVT condition (recovered, vaccinated or tested) by service users in education and training activities, including higher education, whereby the RVT condition is deemed fulfilled provided that the user confirms his/her identity by providing a valid identity document and provides one of the above proofs (available: here). Proof and an identity document are to be provided to the receptionists before entering the premises of ŠDL or the student hall of residence.

Those who do not meet the RVT condition will be subject to the currently established self-testing regime, i.e. twice a week testing, which is to apply until 12 November 2021. Information on the locations and dates of the self-testing are available in the MojŠtudent application, notification of 29 October 2021.

Moreover, the Ordinance stipulates that as of 15 November 2021, students who do not meet the RVT condition shall be self-tested three times a week at equal intervals. The tests (fifteen tests per month) can be picked up free of charge at pharmacies, upon presentation of a health insurance card, or if the student is a foreigner and does not have a health insurance card, a certificate of enrolment and an ID. We will inform you of the changed regime (locations and dates) of the organised self-testing, which will apply as of Monday (15 November), in the coming days, as soon as it is harmonised with the ŠSS.

CHECKING THE RVT CONDITION IS MET AT THE ŠDL

The Ordinance stipulates that the institution is obliged to verify the fulfilment of the RVT condition; therefore, the RVT condition will be checked by a person authorised by the institution.

PROTECTIVE MASKS

Pursuant to the amendment to the Ordinance, only a surgical mask or a FFP2 mask is recognised and approved for use on the premises of the student hall of residence; fabric masks are no longer approved for use in the prescribed places.

PROHIBITION OF GATHERINGS

Moreover, we inform you that gatherings are temporarily prohibited, and are only permitted for groups of persons who are immediate family members or share the same household.

WHAT TO DO IF THE SELF-TEST PRODUCES A POSITIVE RESULT OR YOU FEEL UNWELL?

In case of a positive self-test result, as well as in case of signs and symptoms of disease (regardless of whether the RVT condition is met), you should stay at home and inform your personal doctor, who will refer you for a PCR test.

EXTRAORDINARY INSTRUCTIONS FOR STAY

Due to the extremely serious epidemiological situation in Slovenia, we once again urge you to consistently and fully comply with the current Extraordinary Instructions for Stay to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 Infection, including all the above-indicated changes.

As before, you will be informed about new developments via the MojŠtudent app, and by posts on the institution's website.

We hope you stay well, and greet you warmly.
