Coronavirus and staying at the ŠDL

RVT Condition, Self-Testing, New Extraordinary Instructions for staying at the ŠDL...

Dear residents of ŠDL,

The COVID-19 epidemic caused one of the biggest crises of the last century and significantly changed our way of life. Similar to last year, the number of infections and patients in need of hospital care is again rising in the period leading to the start of the new academic year. Neither Management nor residents wish for student dormitories to close down again. The best way to prevent this is by getting vaccinated or acting responsibly in accordance with the Extraordinary Instructions for Stay.

Certain containment measures are maintained in the Extraordinary Instructions, as the number of infections has been growing in recent weeks, and the possibility of another lockdown is not ruled out in the event of an extreme deterioration of the epidemiological situation. We will continue to cooperate with ŠSS (Student Council of Residents) and other dormitories to lift containment measures in line with the improvements of the epidemiological situation, thus ensuring you a more pleasant stay.

Decrees, adopted by the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, stipulate that students, involved in the educational process, must meet the RVT condition (recovered, vaccinated, tested). If not, they must be regularly self-tested in accordance with the current rules adopted by the Government of the Republic of Slovenia. You can read more about meeting the recovered, vaccinated, tested condition here.

We urge you to act responsibly when staying in ŠDL dormitories, meaning that you only enter the dormitories healthy and follow the general instructions for preventing infection with COVID-19 (i.e. social distancing, wearing a mask, washing and disinfecting hands, observing cough hygiene and thorough ventilation) and particularly act responsibly in case of any onset of symptoms, contact with infection, confirmation of infection or in case of a self-test result positive for infection as well as act in accordance with the protocol, set in the Emergency Instructions for Stay, which we slightly amended in accordance with the new regulations of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia (available: here).

We hope you continue to stay healthy, and we greet you warmly.
