Partnerships and membership in associations

ŠDL is a founding member of the Association of Student Dormitories of Slovenia, which unites public student dormitories and dormitories that have the status of student dormitories.
The association was founded in 2012 with the aim of contributing in terms of content, organisation and professionalism to the development of quality accommodation for students of universities or student dormitories in Slovenia.
In addition to Študentski dom Ljubljana, the association also includes:

• Student dormitories of the University of Maribor (Študentski domovi Univerze v Mariboru - ŠD UM).
• Student dormitories of the University of Primorska (Študentski domovi Univerze na Primorskem - ŠD UP).
• School and student dormitory Kranj (Dijaški in študentski dom Kranj - DŠD Kranj).
• School and student dormitory Novo mesto (Dijaški in študentski dom Novo mesto - DŠD Novo mesto).
• School and student dormitory Koper (Dijaški in študentski dom Koper - DŠD Koper).

Since 2017, ŠDL has been part of the European University College Association (EucA). The association was established in 2008 with the aim of connecting student dormitories and exchanging good practices in the field of student affairs. Today, the association connects over 53,000 students from more than 190 dormitories in 12 different countries.

The association enables students to acquire formal and informal competencies, promote democratic participation among young people, meet potential employers during their studies, develop soft skills, mobility, and exchange programs, while providing training for employees in the field of student affairs.
