Foreign students
Pursuant to the Rules on Subsidized Student Accommodation, students, who are citizens of the Republic of Slovenia have the right to subsidized accommodation in public and private student dormitories, student dormitories and private accommodation.
Due to the insufficient number of vacant accommodation facilities, students who are citizens of the Republic of Slovenia and meet other conditions for subsidized accommodation on the basis of the above rules are waiting to move in according to the priority list or the waiting list.
Foreign students also have the opportunity to stay in some student dormitories that are not fully occupied.
Regarding possible vacancies for non-subsidized stay of foreign students in student dormitories, individual faculties where foreign students study are usually applied to individual student dormitories (e.g. School dormitory Vič (Dijaški dom Vič), Gerbičeva 52a, 1000 Ljubljana).
Information on renting rooms from private individuals can be obtained by foreign students at the free room agency m2, in person at Student House SRCe, Židovska steza 6, 1000 Ljubljana, by phone at 080/98-67.
For some foreign students, however, the Republic of Slovenia managed to provide the possibility of accommodation:
