Capacities in student dormitories are not suitable and the implementation of quarantine measures

We must be healthy in order to enter student dormitories!

This year, the health crisis caused by the COVID-19 affected all areas of our lives, especially in the field of socializing or maintaining social contacts. In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus, ŠDL implements a number of measures to prevent the spread of infection, prescribed by the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, the National Institute of Public Health and other competent institutions. nštitut za javno zdravje in druge pristojne institucije.

We must be healthy in order to enter student dormitories!

Only healthy people can enter dormitories, which means that they have not had any of the following symptoms in the last 14 days: fever, cough, headache, malaise, sore throat, cold, shortness of breath, diarrhea, or have not been in contact with a person showing the abovementioned signs in the last 14 days.

ŠDL has adopted stricter house rules and extraordinary instructions, which are constantly being adjusted according to the epidemiological situation in Slovenia and the instructions of the competent institutions. You received the house rules and extraordinary instructions when signing the accommodation contract. Please read the documents and comply with them consistently (available here).

Measures in case of signs of disease

If you notice signs of disease (fever and other symptoms associated with COVID-19), you should stay in the room and avoid contact with other people. Consult the medical service by phone (the selected physician of the patient during regular working hours, the on-duty medical service of the University Medical Center Ljubljana (01) 522 4540 or the emergency call 112), where you will receive further instructions. If you have been referred for testing by your chosen or on-duty physician, you must also inform the management of ŠDL by phone (01) 242 1000.

Measures in case of confirmation of the disease

In the event of a confirmed infection with the COVID-19, you must immediately inform the ŠDL administration on the telephone number (01) 242 1000. In case of confirmed COVID-19 infection, you should immediately inform your contacts in accordance with the NIJZ instructions in the last two days before the onset of symptoms, and notify them that they have been in contact with a COVID-19 positive person and take into consideration NIJZ instructions for persons exposed to the new coronavirus infection.

In the case of a confirmed infection, the resident is obliged to be in isolation at home, at the address of his permanent residence, or in accordance with the protocol of the doctor. Due to the high risk of spreading COVID-19 virus infection among residents and employees, ŠDL premises are not suitable for isolation. In the case of carrying out isolation outside the capacity of the Ministry of Health, it is necessary to take into account Instructions for a person with confirmed COVID-19 infection in isolation in home environment. Residents without permanent residency in the Republic of Slovenia (foreign students) are obliged to be in isolation accordance with the protocol of the doctor.
